SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ North Hall girls lost to Greater Atlanta Christian in the Region 6-3A tournament semifinal on Feb. 19 in Gainesville (they trimmed a double-digit deficit down to two points late in the third quarter). The Gainesville Times
- ➤ Lakeview Academy placed four players on All-Region teams and its basketball programs will play in the state quarterfinals in Macon. The Gainesville Times
- ➤ The top-ranked Red Elephants won their second Region 7-5A title on Feb. 19 after beating Johns Creek — they will host Chamblee in the Class 5A state tournament next week. The Gainesville Times
