  • State officials suspended the gas tax to lower high pump prices in Gainesville & some local drivers worry the measure may not ease rising fuel costs.  WSB-TV

  • Dr. Ryan Vamplew, with almost two decades of education leadership, is set to become North Hall’s principal pending the board’s vote on Monday as recommended by Hall County Schools Supt.   • Today, college rowing teams compete in the John Ferriss Lanier Sprints Regatta at Lake Lanier Olympic Park (3105 Clarks Bridge Rd.) starting at 8 a.m. with races ending at 3:40 p.m. and continuing on Sunday with the final race at 10:50 a.m.  AccessWDUN
  • Cherokee Bluff dominated East Hall in a region doubleheader while Gainesville completed its series sweep against Lanier — reinforcing the local baseball team's strong performance.  The Gainesville Times
