- ➤ Two traffic accidents in Hall County disrupted traffic as vehicles collided on Candler Highway and I-985; on Candler Highway a driver (Paula Ramirez) was cited for not yielding at a stop sign, and on I-985 a Gainesville driver (Travis Roland) was injured when his truck struck stopped traffic, although no injuries were serious. 97.5 Glory

- ➤ On Thursday, Hall County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit arrested Gainesville man Rashaum Jerome Miller (42) at Browns Bridge Road for planning a 50-mile cocaine delivery and another Gainesville man, Kelly Leif Ward (43), at his Ga. 53 residence after officers seized 170 grams of meth and about $7,000 cash worth an estimated $12,750, while a third man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. 97.5 Glory
- ➤ Trevor Wade Southers, 24, was arrested on March 20 at 4:20 p.m. after a traffic stop at Mundy Mill Road and Creekside Place revealed more than two pounds of meth in his vehicle—officials say the arrest is part of a broader investigation linking additional drugs and firearms from a Madison County operation—. - ➤ Since January 1, the Georgia Forestry Commission responded to 1,644 wildfires that burned 13,951 acres statewide, exceeding five-year averages. Baldwin II ruled that Ptiery Verby-Sunshine Edge was in default in a civil suit after she did not respond to a complaint accusing her of giving improper medication at North Hall daycare — the parents, Jonathan Kankolenski and Macy Turner, filed the motion on March 17 with deadlines ending on February 27 and March 14.
