  • United Way of Hall County will partner with Surcheros for a Percentage Night to support local programs. The event takes place on Wednesday, April 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Surcheros on Limestone Pkwy in Gainesville and will donate 10% of meal proceeds to programs for children and families.  AccessWDUN

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Hall County Fire Rescue responded to a fully involved fire at an abandoned home on the 5400 block of Clarks Bridge Road in Gainesville Saturday night — crews arrived at 8:30 p.m. and quickly suppressed the flames while the Fire Marshal’s Office investigates the cause.  AccessWDUN

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Two Czech Republic companies are planning to add new production lines to Flowery Branch this summer to support the electric vehicle manufacturing industry. SOPO US-Inc will invest $2.3 million and add 25 jobs while SILENT-US Inc will invest $1 million and create 10 new positions in Hall County.  AccessWDUN
