- ➤ Emma Anderson, a Lee University student from Gainesville, received a $3,000 scholarship from a Tennessee school during Lee Day festivities. - ➤ White Sulphur Road remains closed through today — it was set to reopen this weekend. Work begins today on the elevators at the Main Street Parking Deck — crews will start maintenance immediately. 97.5 Glory
- ➤ Hall County Government announced that the long-discussed Sardis Connector road project will begin with a groundbreaking ceremony on April 17 at 3:30 p.m. at the former Happy Pappy's Storage site on Thompson Bridge Road at the Mount Vernon Road intersection; the new four-lane highway will cost more than $86 million and is funded by Hall County + the Georgia Department of Transportation, with an expected opening in 2027. - ➤ The Friendship Road sewer extension project, completed with $13.9 million in funds from SPLOST and ARPA, extends 5.2 miles of sewer lines along the Mitchell Creek Basin and includes both gravity and force main lines. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Tuesday at 2:00 at Williams Mill Greenspace in Flowery Branch to celebrate a project—expected to serve thousands of residents and local businesses. 97.5 Glory
