- ➤ In March, first time claims for unemployment insurance in Hall County were down 25.4% from February but up 5.6% from last March, according to the GDOL. Statewide claims increased 5.5% from the month before and dropped 9.5% from the previous year. 97.5 Glory

- ➤ Hall County school officials will include the ESPLOST tax extension on the May 19 ballot to continue funding school facility updates and safety improvements (ESPLOST stands for Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) without raising property taxes. - ➤ Gainesville water officials reported a minor sewer spill when a homeowner discovered sewage discharging from a manhole on Wednesday, April 29 at 2:45 p.m. near Limestone Creek on Robinhood Trail, and officials stopped the 225-gallon spill in under an hour due to tree roots damaging the line.
