  • A 78-year-old Flowery Branch man was arrested on the weekend after threatening his two roommates with a gun during a dispute over food and is being held without bond in Hall County Jail (he faces charges including felony aggravated assault and firearm possession during the commission of a crime).  97.5 Glory

  • A proposed annexation and rezoning request for 93 townhomes in Gainesville may be met with objections from Hall County+ local officials plan to review the proposal closely.  The Gainesville Times

HEALTH NEWS

  • Bridging the Gap, once called Rape Response, got a $60,000 grant from a state program — money to pay for exams done after hours for non-fatal strangulation cases. The center will use the grant to close the care gap — so patients can get exams even when staff are off duty.  97.5 Glory
