  • First Baptist Church will celebrate its 200th anniversary on Green Street from Aug. 15–18 this summer; church officials (remembering a 1960 fire) noted that members recently visited Rabun County to see The Columns, a preserved piece of its history now located in Clayton.  97.5 Glory
  • University of North Georgia will hold Spring Commencement ceremonies May 12, 13, 14, and 15 — Hall County Master Gardeners will host Garden Walk 2026 on Saturday, May 16, and Lula City Council will meet Monday at 6:00 at City Hall.  97.5 Glory

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Hall County Fire Rescue earned statewide honors on Tuesday, May 5 for raising $63,493 during the “Give Burns the Boot” campaign. The department collected funds directly from local citizens (with no corporate sponsors) to support burn survivors and fire safety programs.  AccessWDUN
