  • Joanne Feldman was named chief meteorologist for FOX 5 Storm Team after 19 years with the station, according to an announcement on May 13 (she will continue delivering morning forecasts in metro Atlanta as the team adjusts following David Chandley’s retirement).  FOX 5 Atlanta

  • A garbage truck overturned on Gillsville Highway (SR 323) between Laprad Circle and Holly Springs Road, prompting HCSO deputies to redirect traffic as clean-up was underway.  97.5 Glory

  • A study by Trace One shows that Hall County farms are expected to lose around $379K per year to natural hazards + drought is the most damaging threat, limiting water supply and crop yields.  97.5 Glory

  • Hall County Schools hosted its annual Industry Signing Day on Wednesday, May 13 at the Oaks at Lanier College and Career Academy in Gainesville, where students signed on with local industries.  The Gainesville Times

  • Gov. Brian Kemp signed Senate Bill 220, the Putting Georgia’s Patients First Act, on Tuesday to expand medical cannabis access by allowing up to 12,000 mg THC in containers + removing certification for incurable conditions. State officials must set rules for electronic registration and a seed-to-sale system by Jan. 1.  FOX 5 Atlanta
