  • Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia named Krystal Crawford as its new CEO on May 29, replacing longtime chief Sue Else who retired after 11 years of service. Crawford has over 26 years of nonprofit leadership experience and will now run council operations in 125 counties serving more than 7,000 girls and nearly 4,000 adult members.  AccessWDUN

  • The Hall County Sheriff's Office reported that five individuals featured on its Wanted Wednesday list have been arrested—27-year-old Michael Lee Chosewood of Gainesville turned himself in at Hall County Jail on May 28, 36-year-old David Michael Cornett from Columbus was taken into custody at a neighboring county jail on May 28, 51-year-old Carl Junior Padgett was booked on May 30, 17-year-old Jaylin Lenarr Davis of Gainesville was arrested at his workplace on Ga. 53/Dawsonville Highway on May 21, and 39-year-old Olaffia J. Matthew Hester of Gilsville was arrested during a traffic stop on May 22.  97.5 Glory
  • The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Dalton McKayde Mullinax was arrested in Dawson County on Tuesday night after a hit-and-run on Price Road and returned to Hall County, where he has been charged with five misdemeanors including failure to stop at an accident with damage & reckless driving, driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane and operating a vehicle with a learner’s permit.  97.5 Glory
  • Gainesville police arrested a 42-year-old man Friday for drug charges that include THC oil, Hydrocodone, Marijuana, Ecstasy and MDA, a 53-year-old man for meth, and a 46-year-old man for fleeing with a DUI as two traffic stops led to additional drug charges while police said a woman found at a Dawsonville Highway homeless camp died of natural causes—further details will come Monday when HCSO offices reopen—.  97.5 Glory

  • The Gainesville Fire Department received over 300 hazardous spill kits today from Clean Earth Systems in Tampa—each kit is designed with absorbent materials and safety gear to help manage hazardous spills. The donation was arranged by Hall County Chairman David Gibbs and Boost Transport to enhance fire department readiness.  97.5 Glory
  • The Hall County Planning Commission will review a request on Monday to rezone 131 acres for a 323-unit residential development at Cagle Mill Road and Noah Martin Drive and 11 acres for industrial uses in East Hall—planners will also consider rezoning nearby areas for agri‐entertainment venues. The proposal comes as a renewed effort after being tabled twice last year.  97.5 Glory
