- ➤ Gainesville and Hall County are celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with a series of US250 events held at landmarks (Historic Downtown Square, Hall County Library, and Don Carter State Park). More gatherings will be held through Independence Day as the program expands. 97.5 Glory
- ➤ The 1903 Gainesville tornado swept southwest of the city, killing 98 people, injuring over 200, and leaving 1,500 homeless while damaging over 200 structures. It is remembered as one of Georgia’s worst natural disasters, with costs estimated at over $1 million at the time (around $35.8m today). 97.5 Glory

- ➤ Frozen poultry exports through the Port of Savannah increased by 8.5 percent in the 12‑month period ending February, Georgia Ports Authority CEO Griff Lynch said.
