A report by Stacker ranked the 50 highest-paying jobs in Gainesville for those with a two-year degree using Bureau of Labor Statistics data—transportation, storage, and distribution managers topped the list with a median wage of $110,310 among 140 employees.

The report shows that two-year degree holders earn about 18% more than high school graduates and face lower tuition costs and student debt compared to bachelor’s degree holders—data from May 2024 underpins these findings.

The City of Gainesville announced that Main Street between Spring and Broad will be closed on June 5 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on June 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for an event on the Main Street Parking Deck (parking alongside will be unavailable) so drivers are urged to choose alternate routes.

Georgia will begin issuing one-time tax refunds this week after House Bill 112 passed during this session.
