GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hall County commissioners voted last week on a plan to eliminate traffic-related deaths and serious injuries by 2050 (a move aimed at dangerous intersections). The plan will improve safety at spots such as MLK Boulevard and EE Butler Parkway (a key Gainesville location). The Gainesville Times
- ➤ The Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board is asked to approve rezoning and annexation proposals for two townhome developments today. One project at the corner of Old Cornelia Highway and East Ridge Road requires 13.3 acres to be annexed and rezoned to R-II while Tres Hermanos Groceries, LLC seeks to change half an acre on Chestnut Street from Residential-II and Heavy Industrial to R-II—both proposals will be reviewed at the July 8 meeting—. 97.5 Glory
