- ➤ Last week in Hall County, court cases involved drug activity in Lula and a police officer crash while Michael Brady pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide during a state court hearing. - ➤ Gasoline prices stayed mostly the same this week as the statewide average is $2.94 per gallon while Gainesville shows a price of $2.92—a two cent drop from last week. 97.5 Glory
- ➤ In May, first time claims for unemployment insurance in Hall County fell 13.6% over the year but increased 0.3% from April. The data released last week shows the county’s unemployment rate rose to 2.8%—a modest increase compared to April. 97.5 Glory

- ➤ Hall County commissioners approved a cost-sharing agreement with the US Army Corps of Engineers that will reopen three parks and keep six more open on Lake Lanier ahead of the Fourth of July holiday— the county will take charge of park operations and collect all user fees once the final details are set before the holiday. - ➤ The City will close CGC from April 2026 through September 2026 to upgrade aging infrastructure — the project aims to improve playability and restore the course’s appeal for tournaments.
