- ➤ Two major animal shelters, Hall County Animal Shelter and the Gainesville Humane Society of Northeast Georgia, were certified as no kill in 2024 after achieving a 92% save rate with recognition from Best Friends Animal Society. - ➤ A 19-year-old Gainesville motorcyclist, Alexis Robles Camacho, was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Poplar Springs Road when he struck the rear of an SUV after following too closely as a third vehicle slowed to turn—troopers said the SUV driver was not hurt. 97.5 Glory
