- ➤ Explore Gainesville and the Kiwanis Club of Gainesville are collecting canned goods for a food drive during First Friday on August 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Gainesville Square—this drive will benefit The Georgia Mountain Food Bank. - ➤ A Hall County man, Ronnie George Pilcher, was picked up at Turner State Prison and sent back to Gainesville to face a burglary charge linked to thefts from a vacant home on Thompson Bridge Road—Candi Dawn Harper of Cumming was arrested on Sept 12 for felony first-degree burglary in connection with the series of thefts. 97.5 Glory

- ➤ Schools in Northeast Georgia are starting back for the new school year with Jackson County Schools beginning on July 31, Gainesville City Schools on August 5 & Toccoa Falls College opening on August 25, while many districts set their start dates in early August. AccessWDUN
