- ➤ Five teenagers aged between 15 and 18 suffered minor injuries in a late afternoon crash on I-985 near Wade Orr Bridge Saturday, and a driver who is 17 years old rotated his car several times—bringing it to rest after striking trees and closing the southbound lanes until the wreckage was cleared. 97.5 Glory

- ➤ A 28-year-old man remains in Hall County Jail without bond after his early Friday arrest on charges including intent to distribute meth and discharging a firearm near a public highway with a $3,900 bond set—law enforcement will provide more details when offices open Monday. 97.5 Glory

- ➤ Today, gasoline in Gainesville costs an average of $2.91 per gallon, a seven-cent increase from last week. AAA reported that the statewide price is the same + the national average dropped two cents to $3.14. 97.5 Glory

- ➤ Trees have fallen on roads across Gainesville even though there are no strong winds or rain because the long heat wave is stressing them. The Dallas County Master Gardeners Association says that warm weather makes trees lose water — which weakens them over time. 97.5 Glory
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said on highways with medians—only traffic going in the same direction as a school bus must stop when its stop arm extends and red lights flash; traffic in the opposite lane may proceed with caution. The state Department of Public Safety also noted on two-lane roads—where no median exists—that all vehicles must stop when a bus is picking up or dropping off children. 97.5 Glory
