- ➤ Gainesville Police responded Friday night to 854 Davis Street when an 18-year-old was shot in the leg and buttocks over the weekend—he was taken to NGMC in stable condition. 97.5 Glory
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Sept. 5, the Southeast Pace Foundation and Kubota Manufacturing donated funding and a new Kubota tractor to Lanier College and Career Academy’s Agriculture program—equipment that gives students hands-on practice with modern machinery. - ➤ A bill passed in the U.S. House includes two provisions affecting Lake Lanier; one would stop the Corps of Engineers from using federal funds to close campgrounds and the other allows lawful carry of firearms on its land (Rep. - ➤ A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Sept. 23 at 2:30 to start construction on the Pond Fork Sewer Extension Project that will add about three miles of sewer line along Athens Highway.
