  • 15-year-old Andrew Collinson, a Gainesville High School student, will run a one-mile course in his neighborhood to honor 343 firefighters who died during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks—his run will serve as a tribute to the fallen heroes.  The Gainesville Times

  • Dr. Zihan Emily Guo joined NGPG Thompson Bridge as its first new doctor in 24 years—she trained in Toronto and Galway and brings international experience to help serve Gainesville’s growing community.  97.5 Glory
  • Northeast Georgia Health System broke ground on the new Chuck and Diane Stephens Hospice House in North Hall—Chuck and Diane Stephens had hiked to the site and the facility will open in late 2026.  The Gainesville Times
