Equality Fest is in danger of cancellation as organizers seek public help with a GoFundMe fundraiser on Saturday at Midland Greenway; the fundraiser has nearly reached its $5,000 goal to keep the inclusive event alive.
A hot air balloon festival starts today at Lake Lanier Islands and marks the first hosted by the South Hall resort.

Flowery Branch's Elizabeth Lane will close to thru traffic at 7:00 a.m. Sept.
