- ➤ Starting November 29, the City of Gainesville will launch its free Holly Jolly Trolley service on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays to link the historic square with Wilshire Trails Park + a new pick-up at Ivey Terrace Park. The 3-mile loop will run every 15-20 minutes until December 27, offering riders a festive way to enjoy local holiday lights. AccessWDUN

- ➤ The two-week search for 67-year-old Gainesville native Charles Hosch, last seen hiking near Blood Mountain, paused on Nov. 24 as law enforcement halted formal rescue efforts—his daughter said. The Gainesville Times

- ➤ The Georgia High School Association upheld the suspension of 35 Gainesville High football players after a brawl in last Friday’s game against Brunswick and reinstated four players following an online hearing Tuesday — Brunswick’s team will face probation and a fine as it deals with related penalties. Gainesville High is set to play its upcoming playoff games without most of its players. WSB-TV
- ➤ The Georgia High School Association reinstated four Gainesville football players on Tuesday after they appealed a fight with Brunswick that led to their suspension—letting them participate in Friday’s state quarterfinal against No. 1 Hughes. The Gainesville Times
- ➤ The GHSA Board of Trustees reversed suspensions for two Gainesville players who were punched during the field fight—Gainesville High's Athletic Director Adam Lindsey said the district is consulting its attorneys to seek a temporary restraining order so the team can play this Friday as 35 players remain suspended.
