At Cherokee Bluffs Park in Flowery Branch, Eagle Scout candidate Max Hurd from Mill Creek High School redesigned and rebuilt a bridge using CAD plans and engineering skills—his work overcame rugged terrain and water challenges to create a reliable trail crossing.

Community members organized a 'Pack the Room' drive to oppose a proposed South Hall data center and a high density housing project on Cagle Mill Road at the upcoming Hall County Commission meeting on December 11th at 6 p.m.—it follows growing concerns over transparency and neighborhood change. The group seeks further investigation of existing data centers and clearer answers from commissioners.

Yesterday, more than 500 participants ran the new Cops and Gobblers 5K and Fun Run through downtown Gainesville, hosted by the Gainesville/Hall County Fraternal Order of Police—proceeds will benefit their Cops & Kids program that supports local children during the holidays.
