- ➤ The Lake Lanier Association completed the third phase of Project Armor by placing rip rap in 16 vulnerable spots along a mile of Lake Lanier's shoreline to slow erosion from heavy boat traffic. The association said the project — which protects cherished islands used for wildlife, fishing, and recreation — also preserves water storage needed by millions. 97.5 Glory
