- ➤ Frigid temperatures prompt several warming centers across northeast Georgia. In Gainesville, the Salvation Army will provide extra bed space at its White Flag shelter (711 Dorsey St) on a first-come, first-served basis; centers in Gwinnett, White and Lumpkin counties remain open with waived ParkPass fees and set hours.
