- ➤ Gainesville police arrested 21 year old Logan Ryan Plumley after he allegedly pulled a gun on two men during a road rage incident—he also faced charges of felony murder, aggravated assault and simple assault for the killing of his disabled neighbor last November. WSB-TV

- ➤ The Georgia Department of Labor said Gainesville’s unemployment rate dropped to 3.1% in June from 3.4% a year ago with 105,780 employed residents and 108,800 available jobs.
