ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hall County residents in Gainesville will be able to dispose of up to 10 tires free of charge at the Hall County Landfill on Oct. 16 and Oct. 17—tires must be 20 inches or less and tractor-trailer, farm, and agricultural tires are not accepted. The program, funded by a grant from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, aims to prevent abandoned tires from cluttering roadways. WSB-TV

- ➤ Developers of a proposed $1.2B data center in South Hall won approval on October 7 after the Hall County Planning Commission recommended the project for a third time on a 119-acre site on O’Kelly Road—the plan will now move to the county commission for a final vote. 97.5 Glory
- ➤ The Hall County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to suspend the Planning and Zoning Commission after a complaint said some members broke the Open Meeting Act.
